This article serves as a brief introduction to our Mobile Application!
The app serves to provide information on company assets as well as detect and update the location of any nearby assets.
First Use
When the app is first opened you be prompted to allow required permissions and agree to the user agreement.
You will then need to login or create an account if you don't have one yet.
Asset List
This is the home screen of the app. It includes a listing of all company assets which your account has permission to view.
From this screen we can see how recently the asset locations have been updated and also 'Sign Out' each asset to mark it as in use in the system.
To check further information about each asset simply tap the record to open the Asset Profile.
Asset Profile
In the asset profile we can view the last known location, timestamp and user which updated it.
For assets with Bluetooth tags we can also view the Signal strength and ring the tag to assist in locating.
QR Scanner
This is an option in the menu used to filter the list. When first opened the user will need to allow camera permission. Once scanned can either click 'Show' or 'Create'. Show will take you back to the filtered asset list if the scanned code is already associated with an asset. Create is shown if the code is not yet associated with an asset
Push Notifications
Once an asset is signed out you will receive separation and in range alerts if they are enabled on the asset. This means that you will receive a notification within a minute of walking away from the signed out asset, and then another when your phone detects the asset again.
These notifications are primarily used to prevent asset loss.
Separation Alert Feedback
After opening a separation push notification the app offers three choices - view in app, directions, or mark as in a 'safe place'.
Profile
Access the profile via the nav menu. This is where you can view details of the currently logged in account and logout if required.
And that covers all user facing elements of the app! If you have any other questions please let us know.
