There are three methods of upgrading firmware on your Gateway:
- USB Upgrade - manually download file onto a USB drive and insert into Gateway.
- OTA Upgrade - Gateway downloads file directly from our cloud server.
- LAN Upgrade - Gateway downloads file from a location on your local network.
USB Upgrade
- Download the upgrade file from here.
- Copy the file onto the root directory of a USB drive.
- Insert USB into the Gateway. Ensure the Gateway is turned on.
- Access the Gateway's management interface, by either connecting to it over wifi or ethernet and accessing its local address in a browser (wifi default 192.168.99.1). Enter credentials to login.
- Go to the 'Other' tab. Scroll down to 'Firmware Upgrade'
- Select Upgrade Type - "USB Upgrade"
- Save current settings - Default 'No'
- Click 'Upgrade' to load the firmware onto the Gateway.
When it is working it will take 2 minutes. Lights will go dark for the first minute, then second minute will show solid lights. Please ensure you do not remove the USB stick or power off during the upgrade process.
If file isn't accessible on the USB drive the Gateway will return a 'File not found' error.
The Upgrade is complete when the gateway reboots and attempts a cloud connection (shows circling lights).
To confirm a successful upgrade, go back to the 'Other' tab and read 'Current Version'.
