Adding a Reference Beacon
- Click the '+Add Reference Beacon' button above the right side of the table.
- Enter Reference Beacon Name, Mac Address, Major, Minor, location and any other relevant details
- Click 'Submit' to create your Reference Beacon
Editing a Reference Beacon
- Click the 'Edit' button at the right end of the table.
- Change the required fields and click 'Submit' to save your changes
Deleting a Reference Beacon
- Click the 'Delete' button at the right end of the table.
- Click 'Ok' on confirmation popup to delete.
Bulk Actions -
CSV Export
If your account has this function activated, you will see an 'Export CSV' button available above the reference beacon table (see image).
Clicking the Export button will download a CSV containing all your reference beacons and important details.
- Click 'Export CSV' to download all reference beacon data.
CSV Import
If your account has this function activated, you will see an 'Import CSV' button available above the reference beacon table (see image).
- Click 'Sample CSV' to get a template for your import.
- Input required details and save file as .csv
- Click 'Import' and select file to upload (csv files only)
- Click 'Submit' to being Import
- You will receive an email confirming succeess / error once import has been completed.
By default, the import will ignore any reference beacon which already exist in the system (recognised by Mac Address)
Bulk Reference Beacon Modification
Using the import function you can also modify details of existing reference beacons.
The 'modify' flag allows you to override existing data, which can be very useful when you need to bulk edit reference beacons.
Note that this is an additional permission and should only be provided to users which require the functionality as modification is not reversible.
- Click 'Export CSV' to grab current reference beacon details
- Click 'Sample CSV' to get a template for your import
- Copy data from the Export into the relevant columns in the Sample CSV
- Modify User details as required and save file as .csv
- Click 'Import', select file to upload (csv files only)
- Tick the 'modify' flag and Click 'Submit' to begin import
- You will receive an email confirming succeess / error once import has been completed.
